The Strategic Planning process is designed to be open and inclusive in order to achieve a plan which accurately reflects the specific needs of the Town of Narrows citizens and stakeholders. The goal of this process is to create a plan that serves the existing residents, as well as, potential new development and visitors. The Plan will contribute to the continued growth of the Town of Narrows as an active, vibrant, and exciting recreational destination.

The Strategic Plan provides direction for the next five years, 2024 through 2029. The Plan’s intent is to:

  • Create a roadmap for the future direction of the Department.
  • Engage staff and Parks and Recreation Commission in the refinement of organizational values.
  • Connect the plan with staff, Commission, and community perspectives about the future.
  • Determine key areas for future decision making, built upon the results of a statistically valid survey.
  • Unify the organization around a common vision.
  • Create action toward accomplishment, including measurement of progress.
