The Town of Christiansburg is in the process of updating its comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan is a long-range plan that reflects the community’s vision for its future and serves as a guide for meeting the community’s existing and future needs. Virginia State Code §15.2-2223 requires that local governments in Virginia adopt a comprehensive plan and review it at least once every five years from the date of adoption. The purpose of the plan is to promote the health, safety, prosperity, and general welfare of all community members. Public input is a key component of the plan to identify the needs and desires of the community and develop a common community vision.
