About the Mount Rogers Regional Housing Study
The Mount Rogers Planning District Commission has received funding from Virginia Housing and the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development in order to develop a regional housing study. The study will identify key housing markets comprised of the City of Galax, City of Bristol, Bland County, Carroll County, Grayson County, Smyth County, Washington County, and Wythe County.
The purpose of this study is to further inform localities and potential developers of the types and prices of housing that are most needed in the targeted communities. The outcome of this study will be a comprehensive regional study that identifies the current and future housing needs in each locality involved by analyzing housing market, economic growth, and population trends.

General Housing Survey: Share your thoughts about housing needs in your region! Members of the general public that live and/or work in the Mount Rogers region can participate in the Community Survey.
Focus Group Surveys: The Regional Housing Study is working with focus groups to identify the housing needs of targeted sectors. If you are an builder/developer, employer, lender, or realtor, please take the appropriate Focus Group Survey.
